The tour offers a wonderful opportunity to visit and explore Bulgaria in 13 days and to enjoy a luxury SPA experience at the country’s best mineral resorts. It includes overnights at two city hotels and three SPA hotels of high category (4-5*), providing medical services and professional supervisors for balneology. The program of the tour focuses on SPA and mineral water therapy and gives travelers time for their own arrangements with the specialists, conducting the procedures. Itinerary

Day 1– arrival in Sofia; transfer to hotel; overnight in Sofia (city hotel****); dinner included.

Day 2– bus transfer to Velingrad- one of Bulgaria’s most beautiful mineral resorts; visit the Rila Monastery- the biggest and most respected Bulgarian monastery, founded back in the 10th century and since 1983 listed as a part of UNESCO’s world cultural heritage ; overnight in Velingrad(SPA hotel****); breakfast and dinner included.

Day 3– whole-day bus tour to Plovdiv- the second largest Bulgarian city; visit the Old Town and Antique Theater- the best preserved monument of Roman culture in Bulgaria; walking tour; overnight in Velingrad; breakfast and dinner included.

Day 4– free time in Velingrad and Kleptuza Park; overnight in Velingrad; breakfast and dinner included;

Optional whole-day bus tour to the Rhodopi mountain villages of Leshten and Kovachevitsa- ethnographical reserves, revealing the spirit of real rural Bulgaria (lunch included).

Day 5– bus transfer to Hissarya; on the way visit Starosel and the biggest Thracian cult complex, found in Bulgaria; wine tasting at the local winery; overnight in Hissarya(SPA hotel****); breakfast, wine tasting and dinner included.

Day 6– half-day bus tour to Koprivshtitsa- one of Bulgaria’s architectural museum towns with beautiful houses, artistically painted and decorated by local masters during the National Revival Period; free afternoon; overnight in Hissarya; breakfast and dinner included.

Day 7– bus transfer to the Black Sea- the town of Pomorie; overnight in Pomorie (SPA hotel*****); breakfast and dinner included.

Day 8– half-day bus tour to Nessebar- a romantic rocky peninsula with valuable monuments from all periods of its long existence- remains of fortress walls from Roman times and the Middle Ages, old Byzantine and Bulgarian churches and charming 18th and 19th century houses; free afternoon; overnight in Pomorie; breakfast and dinner included.

Day 9– half-day bus tour to Sozopol- visit the Old town of Apolonia-an area with a long history, dating back to the times of the Thracians (4000BC) and later the Greeks, who in the 7th century BC established their colony Apolonia, named after the Greek God Apollo; free afternoon; overnight in Pomorie; breakfast and dinner included.

Day 10– bus transfer to Ruse; on the way visit Varna- Bulgaria’s biggest sea-side city with its Archeological museum, which exhibits the oldest manually worked gold in the world; overnight in Ruse(city hotel***); breakfast and dinner included.

Day 11– half-day bus tour to Ivanovo Rock Churches- listed in UNESCO’s world cultural heritage; free afternoon; wine tasting and folklore show in the evening; overnight in Ruse; breakfast, wine tasting and dinner included.

Day 12– bus transfer to Veliko Tarnovo- visit the fortress of the medieval capital of Bulgaria; in the afternoon transfer to Sofia; overnight in Sofia(city hotel****); breakfast and dinner included.
